Kids

Vision & Mission

Our Children's Ministry exists to teach children about God and His unconditional love for them. We strive to help kids develop a relationship with God so that they can make choices that are pleasing to Him. We want kids to learn to fully rely on God in all circumstances. By the time your child graduates from fifth grade, our goal is that he/she would have learned and experienced the following:

Understand and experience God's incredible love
Begin a personal relationship with Jesus and be baptized as Believers
Know how to read, understand and apply Scriptures
Experience daily intimacy with God
Understand spiritual gifts and how they operate
Experience communicating with God through praise and worship

THE BUCK STOP STORE:

We offer a reward program for Living Hope Children, ages 1st through 5th grades, called Bible Bucks. The “bucks” are earned through scripture memory, bringing their Bible to services/classes, and participation. The Buck Stop is a monthly store where the kids are allowed to spend the bucks on toys, games and prizes. We believe this form of positive reinforcement teaches stewardship and the principle of delayed gratification. The store is open during the first Sunday of each month- after the service.
Safety & Security
Security Tags

It is our priority to make every reasonable effort to ensure a safe and healthy environment for every child in our care. To do this, we have a Security Tag. When you check in your child, you are given a 2-part tag with a specific name or number on it. The child portion is to be placed on the outside of their clothing in a visible place. The parent portion has two purposes: First, to inform parents if their presence is needed at the classroom. Secondly, this tag is required in order to pick up your child after service. The teachers will monitor that the child and parent tags have matching numbers before allowing anyone to remove the child from the classroom. If you lose a portion of the tag system, please go to the Parent Services desk and request help.
Visitors in the classrooms:

Each teacher should be easily identified by the name tag they wear. Any parent who wishes to observe in our Sunday school room is welcome.
Food Allergies:

Food allergies are noted on the child portion of the check-in tag. Infants are also given an arm band to ensure all workers know of the allergy. PLEASE inform the Check-in workers of any allergies we need to know of. Peanut and peanut oil products are never served. Infants are only fed what the parents include in their diaper bags
Medical Emergencies/Accidents/Injuries:

The teacher will contact you immediately if there is any type of emergency concerning your child.
Children's Nursery

Nursery is available every Sunday morning. See Ester Rossborough our Nursery Coordinator before services begin to place your small ones in her loving care.
